Armed with his bible, Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson stopped by Sean Hannity’s show to discuss his new book, UnPHILtered, but also to address the ongoing crisis in Iraq. He was unapologetic in his assessment of the ISIS army, which he referred to as “street gangs, street thugs on steroids,” USA Today reports. He said the brutality of the organization was unlike any that the world has ever seen, and in order to combat and end their reign of terror, drastic measures should be taken.

“In this case you have to convert them, which I think would be next to impossible, I’m not giving up on them, I’m just saying convert them or kill them. One or the other.”
Hannity remarked that the media would likely pounce on his comments, saying “There goes Phil Robertson again.” In answering those charges, Robertson said he would much rather “have a Bible study with them,” leading them towards Christianity, but he’s “prepared” for a “gunfight” either way. Robertson says he stands by his beliefs – regardless of how that affects his “fame.”
